Get Back To The Garden - Be In a Village Homestead

When I purchased this home in 2007, it was a stretch to call it habitable. Though the lines and the charm were evident, every surface of this house has been renovated in one way or another. This includes the landscape.

The outside of the house is equally as important as the inside and over the years I've cultivated a food forest farm, recently focusing on introducing native plantings to support pollinators. As a result, we've enjoyed grape and peach jam, apple butter, kiwis, plums, lettuce, peas, asparagus, currants, fresh eggs, leeks, mint, herbs, tomatoes, and rhubarb. We listen to bubbling water and duck & chicken talk.  We've enjoyed wine around the fire into the winter, all bundled up. We watch the snow drift around the house by the fire inside.

Come visit and get back to the garden.

We hope you take some ideas home with you to bring to your own garden on your own homestead.
